We seasoned public relations bloggers like to welcome newcomers to blogging. So it's with great pleasure that I link to a new blog: NevilleHobson.com.
What the name lacks in pizazz, it makes up for in clarity. This is the new home for the blogging efforts of Neville, who, of course, isn't a newbie. His excellent work following business communications, technology and other subjects sets the standard for cheerful, professional reporting.
Neville will soon be shutting down NevOn as an active blog, leaving it as an archive of his online efforts.
Having decided to start from scratch with a new blog, Neville faces the daunting task of rebuilding his search engine credibility. The search engines highly regard his current blog, but don't give the new one any preferential treatment, since there's no legitimate way of transferring all the Google Juice from one blog to another.
Here's the Technorati ranking for the new site, showing that he has slipped about a million rankings from his current blog's ranking and has no incoming links to his site:
I suspect there will be a flurry of links to the new site from online friends and acquaintances who want to give his new venture a bit of a leg up in search engine optimization.
Thanks, Eric. From little acorns, etc... Plus help from friends ;)

Indeed, Eric -- I have linked to his new blog, just as you thought. Mind you, it has a similar spin to the start of your post (great minds think alike, obviously!)
