I Want to Kill Mutually Inclusive PR

I'm working on moving this blog over to WordPress sometime this month, and will let everyone know how to subscribe or visit the new address.

I'll also be renaming the blog, not because Mutually Inclusive PR is a terrible name.  It just sounds a bit too goody-goody.  I've been singing Kumbaya under this name for a year and a half. Before I invest any more energy into it, I want to tweak the format, improve the layout and use of graphics, and work on my editorial mix a bit. At the same time, I'll streamline the RSS feeds and make it easier for non-geeks to keep track of my musings.

SouffleYou can expect to see more Icelandic food recipes, illustrated descriptions of my medical procedures, and lots of angst about being a middle class white male.

Just kidding. I may post my grandmother's recipe for ponnukokur some day, but for the most part I want to continue examining the world of organizational communications, media, marketing and online life. I'll also try to explain how being Canadian warps your mind.

If you subscribe through my Feedburner RSS feed, you won't need to change anything.  For the others, I'll leave directions for the new home of my blog.

Stay tuned for some requests for feedback as I get closer to moving day!

Good move, Eric. Look forward to seeing you in your new online place!

As someone who switched from TyePad to WordPress earlier this year, let me know if there's anything I can do to help ease the pain :)

"I'll also try to explain how being Canadian warps your mind."

Winter.

Alice:

Winter only explains part of the Canadian mindset. Many Canadian cities get only a mild version of winter, and yet people there still manage to play the game of "we're not Americans, but we look and act like them, so we better obsess about our constitution for another decade to ensure we are distinct."

Neville:

Thanks for the offer. I've already poked around your blog looking for info. I thought you had a practice blog, in which you talked about your experiments with Moveable Type and WordPress, but I can't find it anywhere.

I think being Canadian comes from having a $1 coin, and Hockey Night In Canada on every week in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. If CTV buys it, we might as well be American ;-)

I think being Canadian has a lot to do with having tolerance of others, without having no values yourself.

And the beer, of course. ;-)
