Some genius with the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai had the building's sky-high helipad converted into a tennis court for a photo op to promote the Dubai Duty Free Men's Open.
The pictures are amazing, with Andre Agassi and Roger Federer knocking a few balls around on the gut-wrenchingly high helipad.
I can just imagine the waiver you have to sign before using the helipad, because they've foregone a safety railing, replacing it with a net to catch any bodies falling off the edge.
Anyone who knows anything about tennis knows that the pros spend most of their time about eight to 12 feet back from the service line, which would put them extremely close to an untimely death if they actually tried to play a game on the court.
Full points for dramatic photos. For me, the underlying message doesn't say much about the hotel's concern for the safety of guests of the hotel.
